June

June will be upon us shortly. With the rise in temperature comes the packing- that's right, the standard issue Oregonian uniform actually gets put away for two weeks, or was it two months? Regardless of that little detail, i'm looking forward to some aspects of CONUS summer weather. Not the heat though. Is there a way to separate the heat for the season of summer? Is it possible to request all the hot days in one day?

A single layer

A single layer of clothing. External temperatures have reached a high of 85 Degrees F.
Lots of water. Lots of other things or something.

Black Adder Goes Forth: Memorial Day 2009

Memorial Day 2009

It's not about beer and BBQ:

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

So it goes.

Problem Solving

i've come to grips with the fact that there are many ways to solve problems. This is a very common paradigm in the coding community. Having said that, some solutions are more right than others. When drowning, try not to drown more. When alive, enjoy life as it is, in the now.

Philosophy aside, here is a 1970's Ford Mustang with a Tank Engine swap:

Politics And Cars.

Normally i don't do politics here:

My thoughts.Everyone go out there and buy a Ferrari. There are affordable ones. Got the money? Buy Two Veyrons and put Apple stickers right on the paint. Got even more money? Buy a squadron of operational WWII era American Bombers. Don't forget the apple sticker nose art.

Then drive or fly the PISS out of them. Make sure you have a bag of quarter pounders in the cabin ( in the old styrofoam boxes- of course) .That  coffee in your cup holder? It  must have processed white sugar, or splenda.

Pick out your exotic, muscle car, bomber, lear jet, lawn tractor, and pick freedom of choice.

Oregon Roads

Besides the preponderance of excellent tailgataters on Oregon roads, there is an obvious lack of reflective signage such as :

>>>>>

or
<<<<<

say.. when making a gnarly hairpin or sweeper on a mountain road- in the dark- very very high up.
Such is the charm of rural mountain roads i suppose.. just dangerous enough to keep you involved.

Ground Clouds Return To Yamhill

Hello Fogness my old friend
It's so nice to see you again...

Something i've not seen in a while, the foggy misty and watery ground cloud phenomenon has returned to Yamhill. While no cause for alarm, it does provide a nice movie shot in the morning.

Provided that you were  filming a movie that required Yamhill and Fog.
