Year End Punch List

Now that 2009 is but a few hours away, i have decided to make a todo list for next years blizzard, icy hinterlands return.

  • Urinate in the Snow. Unsanitary, gotta do it though. The horses do.
  • Snow angels. Make note to avoid urine impregnated snow, i.e. yellow snow
  • Snowman or men/women. My second snowperson needs to be to scale. Evil nightmarish indian burial ground vibe aside, not impressive if my boots tower over it
  • Build snow gatling gun, trebuchet, or snow siege device.
  • Snow castle!
  • Snow starship!
  • Working replica V8 engine done entirely of snow!
  • Take Ed's idea and make a snow cocktail of somesort. Again, avoid the urine snow.
  • Snow plate lunch!

That is all for now.

Happy New Year!

That White Stuff Gets Wet...

The snow has begun to melt across Yamhill county. Giant dirty boulders of snow and ice litter freshly plowed parking lots and roads. It's warming up a little, enough so i don' have to worry about the water tub freezing over, not enough to start thinking about shorts or putting away the winter duds. As if.

On another note, we went to McMenamins after a giant Hillsboro chinese firedrill. In particular, this one.

So there. When having an expedition in Oregon, one must venture to a McMenamins to add to the experience. How can you not love a place that plays Thin Lizzy?

Old enough to think this is still cool

Merry Christmas

It's a day late; the roads were icy, what can i say?

Merry Christmas from me, M, JC, S, T, En, Em, W, JG, BKD, BKD2, and BKD3

Send sushi. There is no sushi in Yamhill. Did i mention that there is no sushi in Yamhill? Yes, there is no sushi in Yamhill, Oregon. In Yamhill no sushi there is.

24 Dec 2008

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say,
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day,
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway,
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright,
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night,
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say "Merry Christmas" to you...
